Hey there —

Been thinking about a reel that comes up from time to time on social media that says ...

Stop everything and relax.

Relax your shoulders.

Your jaw.

Your eyebrows.

Your whole body.

That reminder is what I want to offer to you right now -- in business, work, life and creativity.

We live in a frantic world where technology is moving faster than human beings ever could. We abide by artificial constructs like clocks and deadlines. We have created massive lists of things to do! People to see! Errands to run! More revenue to earn! Sales to make! Ridiculous news to keep up with. Worries to worry about. Scrolling to do!

AND

We can insist on doing all of that ... slower, more slowly and slower yet.

When we move slower, we make less mistakes.

When we move slower, we conserve energy.

When we move slower, we build richer connections -- especially with ourselves.

Let me share my favorite mantra with you now ... remember to move gently, softly, lightly, slowly.

We can do everything ... more slowly, more gently, more softly, more lightly.

And wouldn't humanity be better as a result?

This is a powerful tip because not only does it go back to last week's slow marketing tip ... to pause ... but the act of doing this will uplevel your impact. 💯

Before creating any new marketing asset or commenting and running along, filter it through this 3-question test:

• Is this idea/post/comment/share useful for my community? For my most aligned client or customer right now? For my readers?
• Does it contain information not easily found elsewhere -- or is it just adding to the noise?
• Would I reference this myself again in six months? A year?

If you answer "no" to any question, refocus your energy back to what matters most. This mindful communication and marketing filter stops the barrage of low-value content that consumes your community's mind and energy without generating impact or results. And, it saves you energy as well!

This revelation is often the biggest ah-ha my clients experience during our coaching sessions. When we pause the endless pursuit of "new and improved," we create space to question our established perspectives.

My clients are always baffled when they realize they don't have to take another course, go through another certification or get another degree.

All YOU need to do is remember ... remember who you are and how you are the right person for this moment and this work you do.
